College roommate family photo! This drawing was challenging because it was a surprise based on other various reference photos. By studying these other photos, I was able to design a new image while keeping to each girl's personality, body language, and style. And while the text is big, it doesn't detract from the girls who are the true focal point of the image. The rest of the picture is all about color and space, and the sidewalk and road present the girls on a kind of stage. Finally, Gumby's coming over the rooftops to add a new element to the image and to enhance the spirit of action and adventure in these girls' lives.
